Industrial Grade Conductivity Sensor KE- CDS 1000 SERIES


INTRODUCTION
The industrial standard KE- CDS 1000 series sensor is a solid double cylinder structure sensor used for continuous monitoring of electrical conductivity of surface water, ground water, pure water, aqueous solutions and industrial effluent water. The durable double cylinder structure consisting of 316L Stainless Steel or Polysulfone Body along with Titanium Alloy or Platinum internal electrode which have an excellent chemical compatibility with anticlogging design which provides easy maintenance.

Sensor Features
1- High accuracy with fast response and good repeatability.
2- High level of process safety due to durable materials and robust design.
3- Widely spaced electrode which do not trap ion exchange resin particles, corrosion particles or bubbles and yield more reliable, maintenance-free operation.
4- Pt1000 RTD, the temperature element used in the KE- CDS Series sensor is highly accurate and linear throughout the range.

Sensor Installation

1- Do not put Sensor directly into water, the sensor should be installed with Female Thread Socket for Inline Flow through Measurement and Threaded Sensor Housing for Offline Measurement.

2- Before installation, use Teflon Tape (at 1/2" or 3/4" Thread) to ensure no leakage occurs.

3- Connect the Sensor to Controller, let it stable for 3 Mins, then start calibration work.

4- Connect / Insert the Sensor vertically upright in the Solution whenever doing calibration.

5- Sensor to be installed Inline to piping where the pipe line doesn’t get dry whenever process is not operational.

6- Sensor to be installed in pipe lines opposite to flow direction.

Sensor Maintenance

1- Check if the tinned wires are dry and clean, otherwise use ethanol to clean and blow some air to wipe out dust particles.

2- Stir the test solution with sensor to accelerate sensor response when calibrating than place the sensor in calibration solution.

3- Use 1 point Calibration through any NIST or TCT standard buffer for use with RCB Conductivity Controller KE-CD 1000.

4- The sensor should be cleaned and calibrated periodically, if the liquid junction between sensor electrode and PTFE seal is contaminated, use surfactant for cleaning.

Image above shows the wiring connection names for RCB Conductivity Sensor KE-CDS series and RCB Conductivity Controller KE-CD 1000. Each Sensor wire connection detail is given below:

1- For 2 wire temperature sensor, short T/P4 and T/P3. Connect TEMP Wire 1 (Red) with T/P 1 and TEMP Wire 2 (Yellow) with T/P 2.

2- Connect DD Wire 3 (Blue) with CN3 connection of Controller and Short CN3 with CN4.

3- Connect DD Wire 4 (Green) with CN2 connection of Controller and Short CN2 with CN1.

4- GND Wire 5 (Black) can be used if required.

1- In case of any issue other than mentioned above, immediately inform RCB representative about the issue which will be resolved at the earliest.

2- Special fittings Inline or Offline for Conductivity Sensor KE-CDS series can be ordered to RCB separately.
